Skype is a beautiful thing!

It was raining, it was lighting and thundering, there 

was the threat of high winds, gusts, and a tornado...

and yet my friend kept our Skype date and we got to chat for

an hour or so before the storm made it impossible!

This is a Skype call months in the making,
We have been talking about it forever and finally got around

to doing it today, 

My Sunday morning, her Saturday night. 

We have known each other for years now, how many

I can't quite remember, but its been many! 

We have sent birthday and Christmas gifts, cards,

letters,emails, text messages, talked on the phone,

but never Skyped! 

It was kinda surreal after all of this time to see her and hear her at the same time!

And when Skype was behaving, I could even see her clearly, hear her well

and she was moving all at the same time! 

Unreal!

I love how technology has made the world a bit smaller!

Imagine that. We have been friends for years in the States,

her in TX and me in MI, but the first time we

actually video chat, we are not only in two very different places

we were in two entirely different days!

Pretty amazing!

I am so thankful for my friends who have kept

in touch with me even though I have made this crazy life

change of living in China!
