Look! They are doing yet another face life on SIAS cafe! Its crazy!!
I knew that we still did not have internet when I woke up at 7, so I went back to sleep. Fridays I don't have class, so I don't have to be downstairs till 8:30 to be in the office. Imagine then, my horror when I woke up again around 8:30-8:45!! My boss wasn't upset as there wasn't much I could do in the office anyway. I did go over to a building that had WiFi for a bit so that I could get some emails sent and update our Facebook, but then it was back to the office to sit for a bit.
The internet did end up coming back just before lunch, and so I checked in my room on my lunch break to see if we had it back here.
Even after work, it still was not up here in the dorm room, even though others seem to be working fine. I had done all the right things, unplugged it and waited, plugged it back in, hit the reset button, tried to get my laptop to trouble shoot it and fix it from this end, Nothing. I went back down to the classroom for awhile to use my own Facebook and watch a TV show. When I came back up around 8 or so I decided to try it one more time, the resetting the modem.
Imagine my surprise when I saw that the cord had been plugged into the wrong port!! Hard to get internet through your WiFi router if your router is not getting internet pumped into it properly, right?!
I had a good laugh, plugged it in the right port and voila!
Our room had internet same as everyone elses had since earlier in the day!
Yesterday I asked if I should come back to the office after
my midterm or just head to a place with WiFi so that I could do some work.
She said to text her so to ask if we had connection yet and then I could do accordingly.
Problem was, I explained, that without WiFi I cant get WeChat and
I did not have money on my phone in order to do any texting.
Without question {Because she is a sister and knows I am trying to be careful with
my spending} she picked up her phone, asked me for my number, and added minutes to my
cell phone account! Just like that! It is so amazing to be part of the world wide body!!
